Impossible is nothing. . .

I was browsing the internet when i saw this in my homepage, which is YAHOO! then this news took my interest then CLICK. . .then I'm a changed man!

BAGHDAD - After weathering nearly five years of war, Baghdad residents thought they'd pretty much seen it all. But Friday morning, as muezzins were calling the faithful to prayer, the people here awoke to something certifiably new.

For the first time in memory, snow fell across Baghdad.

Although the white flakes quickly dissolved into gray puddles, they brought an emotion rarely expressed in this desert capital snarled by army checkpoints, divided by concrete walls and ravaged by sectarian killings — delight.

"For the first time in my life I saw a snow-rain like this falling in Baghdad," said Mohammed Abdul-Hussein, a 63-year-old retiree from the New Baghdad area.

"When I was young, I heard from my father that such rain had fallen in the early '40s on the outskirts of northern Baghdad," Abdul-Hussein said, referring to snow as a type of rain. "But snow falling in Baghdad in such a magnificent scene was beyond my imagination."

Morning temperatures uncharacteristically hovered around freezing, and the Baghdad airport was closed because of poor visibility. Snow is common in the mountainous Kurdish areas of northern Iraq, but residents of the capital and surrounding areas could remember just hail.

"I asked my mother, who is 80, whether she'd ever seen snow in Iraq before, and her answer was no," said Fawzi Karim, a 40-year-old father of five who runs a small restaurant in Hawr Rajab, a village six miles southeast of Baghdad.

"This is so unusual, and I don't know whether or not it's a lesson from God," Karim said.
Some said they'd seen snow only in movies.

Talib Haider, a 19-year-old college student, said "a friend of mine called me at 8 a.m. to wake me up and tell me that the sky is raining snow."
"I rushed quickly to the balcony to see a very beautiful scene," he said. "I tried to film it with my cell phone camera. This scene has really brought me joy. I called my other friends and the morning turned to be a very happy one in my life."

An Iraqi who works for The Associated Press said he woke his wife and children shortly after 7 a.m. to "have a look at this strange thing." He then called his brother and sister and found them awake, also watching the "cotton-like snow drops covering the trees."

For a couple of hours anyway, a city where mortar shells routinely zoom across to the Green Zone became united as one big White Zone. As of late afternoon, there were no reports of violence. The snow showed no favoritism as it fell faintly on neighborhoods Shiite and Sunni alike, and (with apologies to James Joyce) upon all the living and the dead.

"Disappointment is far worse and more painful than Anger." ~ VN

On my way

Things I just can't say but it dwells on me like rain,
Nostalgic and Sweet at the same time,
Like the taste of lemons on a melancholy night. . .
sour and painful yet it awakens me and keeps me from further harm,

my head swirls from being deprived from sleeping,
my body weakens and my eyes are burning.
my soul asleep, my mind flies.
but all this was broken when an angel crossed my eyes...

I can feel it, something in you.
i just dont know yet, for I am still not trough. . .

From all these.

But if you just lay your eyes on me.
you could set me free.

QUOTE FOR THE DAY

Anger at lies lasts forever. Anger at truth can't last. ~ Greg Evans

A day with my Sange and Yasha (my VIOLIN)

hmmmm. . . .

Its a fine day co'z t'was the first time I slept normally after days of being deprived from sleep... I woke up at about twelve O'clock in the afternoon, started the day looking for sweets, (swerte may tirang cake sa freezer,) and I don't know why my instinct tells me to look for something sweet or creamy the first time I open my eyes. . .

Time passes with nothing to do, played DOTA with my nephew but lost co'z of quitters and got frustrated co'z of trashtalking stuff... but Im happy coz I played with my nephew with teamwork and seeing him progressing makes me feel hopefull.
... and then i got bored (again) and quitted playing...
called my friend and went to his house just to catch up and eat. . . I was shaking co'z when i arrived at their house I haven't eated for about (counting the number of hours) 1 day??? Tried to sample him a sound from my violin. . .
But I Über shaking. . . co'z im so hungry. . . and so I ate my lunch that I bought from the karinderya. . . after eating i played my violin again but still I'm shaky. . . god. . . i invited him to go out instead, but, unfortunately, my poor friend have a flu. . . so I went alone in the mall, i was planning to buy a Kahon, (beat box) I wass canvassing but the lowest kahon price that they gave me was 2.5k PHP kinda expensive but i'm looking for a beatbox with high quality and great craftsmanship but comes in an affordable price. (meron kabang segunda mano? bilin ko nlng...)
Walked around the mall. . . Got bored (again) so I went to PLAN B...
MARIKINA baybeh...
I missed going to Marikina. . . It's like my giant beanbag when I feel nostalgic about everything...
I sitted on the grass. . . breathed some fresh air. . . took a short rest then released my SANGE AND YASHA, , , Started swiping some rosin on it, like a swordsman sharpening his sword. . . started playing some note. . . then started practicing.
I was perfecting the violin of BITTERSWEET SYMPHONY by THE VERVE and some PAGLISAN by COLOR IT RED. . . and tried to do some CANON and ended studying with IT AIN'T OVER TILL ITS OVER by LENNY KRAVITZ. . . I learned a lot trough my Self Tutorial. . .
But one thing is pressuring me. . . I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO READ NOTES!!! ... good thing my best friend offered me some lessons co'z he knows how to read. . . and I hope he still do.
It was getting dark. I decided to put my swords into their proper cases and went to a nearby mall for a while. . . T'was fun roaming around the RIVERBANKS mall coz there are so many bargains and cheap stuffs. . . after that I went home, ate, do some reporting stuffs, surf the web, type a blog then STOP. . . I forgot . . . I NEED TO SLEEP. . . Timer starts now.

QUOTE FOR THE DAY

"One thing is clear to me. You can't know everything you'd like to know. You can't do everything you'd like to do. You can't read everything you'd like to read. You must hold onto some things and let go of others. Learning to make that choice is one of the big lessons of this life." ~Real Live Preacher, Real Live Preacher.com weblog

NEW FOUND GLORY

tweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeenth twenth . . .

I bought my very first Violin.

and I'm very enthusiastic about it . . .

at first it was kinda frustrating coz when I slided the bow in the bridge it wasn't producing any kind of music. . .

me ang my nephew laughed silently while eating at a restaurant. . .

hahaha then i tried and tried then tweeeeeeeeeeeenth. . . we both heard something . . . hahaha! that was my first time playing my violin. . .

Two days have passed and I brought my violin to school at so that if I have free time I'll practice my new instrument and learn more and more. . .

I was sitting in the hallway when someone ( a girl ) caught my attention and asked

"Nag vi-violin ka den? "
I nodded my head coz If i think she heard me playing like squidword playing the flute. . . haha. . . so I just nodded, coz technically I'm playing the violin though I'm not YET that good at it. . . But i played and I played then suddenly I saw the girl who asked me in my class. . . (we were classmates in one subject) so i said *cool*. . . I approached the girl and asked her. . .
"Nag vi-violin ka din?"
She said YES, and immediately, my instinct grew like a gargantuan beast asking. . .
"TURUAN MO NAMAN AKO!"
hahahaha! a girl teaching a man like me to play this little thing! hehehe! amberibabor!
So we sat together, she said my violin is out of tune, then she tuned it then I asked her again to teach me the basics. . . then she taught me the do,re,mi,fa so and the octaves and stuffs. . .
Then she played the violin atlast. . . The whole room went silent . . . like a drop of needle broke the cold air. . . well I don't know. . . there is something in the violin that draws peoples attention. . . coz its like an angels harp producing angelic lullabyes. . . (well not for me kasi lumalabas si Lucifer sa lupa eh)
Well I think shes good at it though I'm not that impressed coz she was shy and cant play that good but at least she knows how. . . Then there I said let me try what I have learned . . . Tried to play "My heart will go on" in the violin at first t'was good but the way I'm sawing isn't that good co'z it hits the other strings. . . well I'm trying my best but I have so much more . . . SO much more to learn. . .
And tonight???
Guess what. . .
Nakapa ko ang BITTER SWEET SYMPHONY ng THE VERVE. . . Just by watching a performance in youtube. . . and I'm glad co'z its one of those songs that I'm dying to learn in the violin. and im learning fast. . . maybe that's what hapens when you really want to do something that you crave.
